MNEVI is a digital Proof of Existence service that generates cryptographic evidence that a specific digital file existed at a specific moment in time.

1. Nature of the Service

MNEVI generates a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the uploaded file and associates it with a UTC timestamp. The resulting receipt confirms that the digital fingerprint existed at that specific time.

MNEVI certifies existence only. It does not certify ownership, authorship, copyright, or legal rights of any kind.

2. No Legal Guarantee

The generated PDF receipt is a technical proof based on cryptographic principles. Legal validity and admissibility depend on jurisdiction, applicable law, and context.

3. Data Processing

Uploaded files are processed solely to generate a cryptographic hash.

The hash function is one-way: it cannot reconstruct or reveal the original file content.

Files are not permanently stored, analyzed, or reused for any purpose beyond generating the proof.

Users may independently verify the hash using standard operating system tools (Windows, macOS, Linux) or third-party software. Verification does not require reliance on MNEVI.
