Privacy & Security
MNEVI is built around transparency and minimal data exposure. The system certifies the existence of digital files without accessing or interpreting their content.
How Your File Is Processed
When you upload a file, MNEVI calculates a SHA-256 cryptographic hash. This hash acts as a unique digital fingerprint of the file.
- The hash does not contain the file content.
- The hash cannot be reversed to reconstruct the file.
- The hash cannot reproduce or reveal the original content.
SHA-256 is a one-way cryptographic function. It is mathematically infeasible to derive the original file from its hash.
File Storage Policy
Uploaded files are processed only for the technical time required to compute the hash and generate the certificate. Files are not permanently stored.
MNEVI retains only:
- SHA-256 hash
- UTC timestamp
- Receipt ID
- User email address
Service Scope
MNEVI certifies the existence of a digital fingerprint at a specific timestamp.
- Does not certify ownership.
- Does not provide legal advice.
- Does not replace qualified legal timestamp services.
- Does not analyze file content.
