How It Works
MNEVI provides proof that a digital file existed at a specific moment in time.
1. Upload Your File
You upload a digital file. The system does not read or interpret its content.
2. Hash Generation
MNEVI calculates a SHA-256 cryptographic hash. This hash acts as a unique digital fingerprint of the file.
3. Timestamp Creation
A UTC timestamp is generated at the moment of submission. The hash and timestamp together form proof of existence.
4. Certificate Issued
A PDF certificate is generated containing:
- File name
- SHA-256 hash
- UTC timestamp
- Receipt ID
5. Independent Verification
Anyone can verify the file by recalculating its SHA-256 hash. If the hash matches the certificate, the file is identical to the original submission.
Important: MNEVI certifies existence, not ownership or legal rights.
